Images & faces modules & options

The Images & faces search type presents eight image Modules arranged in a grid. Each Module is a card you click; selecting one loads its description, query form, and Cost-per-search line below the grid. Selection is single-select — the active tile carries a coral-orange border. All eight Modules take the same input: one uploaded image.

Caution

Two captured costs are free: Fake Image Check and Image (Data: Tineye) (observed 2026-07-10). OneScan is known to be dynamic. The exact Credit cost and cost tier for the other five Modules (FaceCheck.id, Picarta, FindPicLocation, Google Lens, CamGirlFinder) are not yet captured. Confirm the cost on the tile in the app before running a paid Module.

Module details

Fake Image Check (authenticity)

The Fake Image Check tile is subtitled “Detect manipulated images” and was the selected Module in the captured frame. Its description panel reads:

“Analyse an image for signs of manipulation or AI generation. Detects edits, splicing, and other forensic indicators.”

• Cost: the cost line reads “Cost per search: Free.”
• Action button: captured as “Analyse Image” (magnifying-glass icon).

Caution

The specific data source powering Fake Image Check is not identified in the app tile (there is no “(Data: …)” sub-label), and no dedicated integration page exists for it. Do not assume a vendor.

Face Search — FaceCheck.id

Reverse face search: match a face from your uploaded photo across the web. data source: FaceCheck.id. See the FaceCheck.id integration page.

Image Geo-location — Picarta / FindPicLocation

Two separate geo-location Modules estimate where a photo was taken:

• Image Geo-location (Data: Picarta) — see Picarta.
• Image Geo-location (Data: FindPicLocation) — see FindPicLocation.

They are distinct Modules with distinct data sources; run whichever you prefer, or both, to compare predicted locations.

Reverse image — TinEye / Google Lens

Two reverse-image Modules find where else a picture appears online:

• Image (Data: Tineye) — see TinEye.
• Image (Data: Google Lens) — see Google Lens.

Face Search (18+) — CamGirlFinder

Face Search (18+) (Data: CamGirlFinder) matches a face against the adult (18+) sites its data source indexes, kept separate from the general-purpose Face Search. Restricted to lawful, legitimate purposes — see the CamGirlFinder data source for the full 18+ restricted-use warning.

Image (OneScan) — multi-source

Image (OneScan) is the multi-source Module for this search type, subtitled “Multi-source scan” and tagged RECOMMENDED. OneScan runs your one uploaded image against several image data sources at once and merges the results, giving broader coverage than any single-source Module in one run. In the results, the Data Source column then attributes each row to the data source it came from. See the OneScan concept.

• Cost is dynamic: a OneScan search costs the sum of the data sources left toggled on (per Lee, 2026-07-08). Turning data sources off lowers the cost and narrows coverage — this is the lever you pull to trade coverage against spend.

Choose Data Source (the gear icon)

The OneScan tile carries a gear (settings) icon alongside its ”?” help icon. Clicking the gear opens the Choose Data Source modal, where — as documented generally in The search model and OneScan — you:

• toggle each data source on/off with a checkbox, each row showing its own per-search cost;
• read a Total cost line that sums the enabled data sources (this matches the composer’s OneScan cost line);
• optionally tick “Remember my choice and hide this from future searches” to persist your selection;
• commit with Apply Filters, revert with Reset, or dismiss with Close / ×.

Caution

The specific data sources listed inside the Images & faces OneScan modal, and their individual costs, are not yet captured. The worked example in the general OneScan/search-model concept (Predicta $0.50 + OsintIndustries $0.70 = $1.20) is from the Username Intelligence search type, not Images & faces — do not carry those data sources or prices over to this search type. Open OneScan’s Choose Data Source modal in the app to see the actual image data sources and their costs.

Per-search filters & other tile affordances

• Upload input. The only per-search input is the “Upload an Image” file picker (Choose File / “No file chosen”). This search type shows no entity-type tab strip (unlike Public Leaks) — the upload is the sole input.
• Per-tile ”?” help icon. Every tile carries a circular ”?” help icon that opens Module-specific help. Its content is not captured.
• Film-strip icon. Some tiles (Fake Image Check, Face Search / FaceCheck.id, Image / TinEye) additionally show a film-strip icon, understood to be a tutorial/video affordance (destination not captured).

Caution

The ”?” help content and the film-strip icon’s destination are referenced but not captured. Do not describe what they open.
